Neighbor Spotlight
City of Durham’s Neighborhood Improvement Services Department - Neighbor Spotlight
We can all do something to improve our health and that of our loved ones. A healthy community takes everyone. The Health eCommunity uses the WorldVistA EHR in its efforts to obtain optimal health. We invite you to get involved. If you would like to volunteer, please contact us.
We are in the process of setting up basic health records for everyone who signs up with The Health eCommunity. Once your record is established, you record will be eligible to receive medical alerts triggered by your health care provider. These alerts will give you the benefit of choosing to elect pastoral support as an aid in your well-being. This preemptive strategy may help prevent medical emergencies. We plan to convince health care providers to exchange data with The Health eCommunity. If you are interested in receiving pastoral support in managing your health care, please contact us.
PASTORS: Would you like to be involved in the well-being of your congregants before being called upon to pray for them while they're hospitalized? Get involved and join The Health eCommunity.
We are looking to partner with a 501 (c)(3) organization. Setting up this type of organization is time-consuming, and we feel our talent and energy could be better spent working within our existing tool box. We are open to partnering with non-profit organizations. Partnering with a non-profit would allow The Health eCommunity to take advantage of TechSoup donations. We are particularly interested in their CRM offerings. Contact HEC if you are interested in partnering with us.
Does your organization or medical facility have initiatives aimed towards community health education? The Health eCommunity is positioning itself to champion the use of health information technology to improve the health care of the local community. We are interested in hosting workshops, presentations, discussions, health fairs, career empowerment sessions, and seminars to decrease health disparities.
